NATURE: Year 9 Winner

Ella wins for this powerful poem about the wonderful magic of trees and how we mustn't take them for granted.

Tall green beings

with outstretched hands.

Children and adults,

families consult

caring for the small beings

that seek shelter and sing.

But some are in fear.

Tall Jungles cleared,

cut down for oil,

for greedy human purpose.

All of them lying,

families crying,

the trees are dying.
