Students fly to America!

During the school holidays in February, a group of students from years eight, nine and ten of Bolingbroke Academy went on a great ski trip to America organised by Ms Lawrence and Ms Wilson.

From the 10th of February to the 18th of February, the trip consisted of two days in New York visiting famous places like the Statue of Liberty, the 9/11 memorial, and even Hard Rock Café! Apart from going to New York, the students went skiing in New Hampshire.

Students who went on the trip have said that spending time with their friends and doing fun activities was a wonderful thing about the trip. Valentina in year 10 rated this trip an 11/10! Most mornings they spent two hours skiing in the morning and two more in the afternoon. Some have said that it was an enjoyable experience when going onto the higher slopes. Even after a full day of skiing, more activities were available such as swimming and relaxing. On on evening, they went to watch an ice hockey match and sometimes even go ice skating.

Overall, it can be said that this was an excellent experience and that many would absolutely love to go there again. Despite a few injuries, the year groups remained positive and the trip was an amazing success.
